Privacy Policy for Daily Life Toolkit
This Privacy Policy explains how Smartcore Labs AI ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the Daily Life Toolkit mobile application (the "App").
Daily Life Toolkit is built as an offline-first utility app. In the current build, your information is primarily stored on your device, and we do not run a custom account system, cloud sync service, or first-party analytics backend for your app data.
Our goal is simple: provide useful tools for daily life management without unnecessary data collection.
1. Information the App Can Handle
The App includes tools for expense splitting, warranty tracking, emergency and medical information, budget planning, reminders, exports, and premium feature access. Depending on the features you choose to use, the App may handle the following information on your device:
- profile information such as a name and optional email address
- emergency and medical information such as blood group, allergies, conditions, medications, checkups, vitals, notes, insurance details, family history details, social/lifestyle habits, and optional menstrual/cycle tracking details (when enabled)
- emergency contacts, including names, phone numbers, email addresses, and relationships
- expense and group records, including member names, optional contact details, amounts, balances, settlements, and notes
- budget and debt records, including categories, amounts, lenders, payment history, due dates, and notes
- warranty records, including product names, dates, serial numbers, invoice images, product images, prices, notes, and service history
- documents or files you choose to attach, import, export, print, open, save, or share
- app preferences such as date format, currency, notification settings, privacy settings, and feature settings
- app security settings such as app lock preferences, biometric protection, PIN-related security data, and encryption keys
- purchase status needed to unlock or restore eligible premium access
2. Offline-First Storage Approach
In the current build:
- most app data is stored locally on your device
- sensitive module data is designed to stay on-device and may be protected using local encryption and secure device storage
- we do not provide our own cloud account, remote profile, or first-party server sync for your records
- we do not operate first-party analytics or first-party crash-reporting for your personal app records
This means your core records generally remain under your control on your device unless you choose to export, share, print, back up, or otherwise move them elsewhere.
3. Permissions and Optional Features
3.1 Contacts
The App may request contact access so you can:
- import emergency contacts
- select people for expense splitting or related workflows
If you do not grant access, you can still enter this information manually in supported areas.
3.2 Camera and Photos
The App may request camera or photo/file access so you can:
- photograph warranty invoices or product images
- capture or import medical documents
- scan receipts for warranty-related OCR
- scan barcodes or serial numbers
- save generated Medical ID images or other user-requested outputs
These features are optional and user-initiated.
3.3 Notifications
The App may request notification permission so it can show local reminders such as:
- warranty or AMC reminders
- medication reminders
- checkup reminders
- cycle reminders (when enabled)
- refill alerts
- budget alerts
- emergency access reminders
These are local device notifications, not marketing push notifications from our server.
3.4 Biometrics and Device Security
The App may use biometric authentication or device-level secure storage to help protect access to sensitive parts of the App. Biometric matching is handled by your device platform; we do not receive your fingerprint or face data.
4. On-Device Processing
Some features process information directly on your device, including:
- receipt text recognition for warranty-related data extraction
- barcode or serial number scanning
- local PDF generation
- local screenshot and wallpaper generation for Medical ID use
- local calculations across budgeting, expense, and decision tools
Based on the current build, we do not upload this data to our own backend for processing.
5. Widgets, Quick Access, and Lock Screen Visibility
If you enable widgets, emergency quick access, or persistent emergency notifications, limited information may be shown outside the main app interface on your device.
Depending on the feature you enable, this may include items such as:
- a name
- blood group
- allergy summary
- emergency contact name or phone number
- warranty urgency information
These features are meant to improve convenience and emergency readiness, but you should use them only if you are comfortable with that information being visible on your device screen, widget area, or notification surface.
Where supported in-app, you may pin a limited number of emergency profiles for faster tray access.
6. Backups, Exports, Printing, and Sharing
The App lets you create backups and export or share records in formats such as PDF, TXT, Excel, images, and similar files.
Important points:
- exported or shared files may contain sensitive financial, medical, warranty, or contact information depending on the module
- once you save a file to your device downloads, gallery, printer flow, email, messaging app, cloud drive, or another app, that copy is outside the App's protected local storage
- backup and export handling after that point depends on the destination you choose and that service's own privacy and security practices
- in the current build, some backup/export flows are intentionally designed for portability and may not be encrypted after export
- exported reports may include emergency sections such as insurance, family history, social habits, and other profile information based on what you have entered
Please share or store exported files carefully.
7. Family and Third-Party Information
The App can store information not only about you, but also about family members, group members, emergency contacts, and other people you choose to include. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to enter and manage that information in the App.
8. In-App Purchases
Daily Life Toolkit may offer optional premium purchases.
- purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us directly
- we do not collect or store your payment card details ourselves
- the App may store local entitlement information needed to recognize or restore premium access on your device
Store providers may process purchase-related data under their own terms and privacy policies:
9. External Actions You Choose to Trigger
The App may help you start actions through your device or other apps, such as:
- calling or texting an emergency contact
- sending an email to support
- opening exported files
- launching the app store rating or listing page
- sharing app content or exported records
Those actions are only triggered when you choose them, and any information handled after that point is governed by the platform or third-party app involved.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
Because the App is primarily offline-first:
- most records remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, restore over them, or uninstall the App
- if you create exports, backups, prints, screenshots, wallpapers, or shared copies, those copies may remain in the locations where you saved or sent them
- support emails or direct messages you send us may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain support records
If you want to remove data stored inside the App, you can generally do so by deleting records, clearing the app's local data, or uninstalling the App, subject to your device platform behavior.
11. Security
We aim to minimize unnecessary data collection and keep sensitive app data local where practical. The App includes security-focused features such as local encryption for certain stored records, secure storage for sensitive keys and settings, and optional app-lock protections.
At the same time, no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, especially after data is exported, shared, printed, saved to gallery, or displayed through widgets or notifications.
12. Children's Privacy
Daily Life Toolkit is a practical utility app for personal and family organization. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through a first-party backend service because the current build does not include such a service for app records.
If a parent, guardian, or family member uses the App to store information for a child or dependent, they are responsible for that use and for managing the information they enter.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will post the updated version and revise the effective date above.
